For more than 30 years Jim Gunlock has built successful consulting relationships as an executive search professional, serving publicly and privately held clients in a variety of industries. His clients have included companies in financial services, information technology, telecommunications, manufacturing, construction, energy services and the not‐for‐profit sectors. He has completed more than 300 retained executive search engagements for C level positions, including CEO and COO as well as the full range of functional positions in finance, operations, sales & marketing, technology, legal and human resources.

In 2009, Jim reestablished his executive search practice in the Pacific Northwest following three years with the L.W. Foote Company in Bellevue, WA. As a Vice President with that firm he served a broad base of clients requiring professionally managed assistance identifying and selecting effective leaders.

Prior to joining L.W. Foote in 2006, Jim spent three years as the Director of International Marketing with FasTracKids International Ltd, a Denver‐based franchisor of E‐learning systems for young children. He traveled extensively throughout Asia and Europe where he established franchises and marketed area development rights in Japan, Malaysia, India, Turkey, Germany, Ireland and France as well as throughout the Arabian Gulf countries of UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and KSA.

Previously, Jim owned and operated Gunlock Associates, Inc., a retained executive search firm in Denver for 11 years. Earlier, he spent five years as a Denver Partner in the Executive Search Practice of the international consulting firm of A T Kearney and the previous three years as a Managing Associate in Houston with the National Energy Search Practice of Korn Ferry International.

Jim earned a BA degree from Cedarville University in Ohio and an MA degree from Bowling Green State University, also in Ohio. Originally from Chillicothe, Ohio he spent his high school years in the Chicago area. Throughout his professional career Jim has given his time to civic and community organizations, including Rotary. He has served on the boards of several not‐for‐profit organizations, including 10 years as a member of the board of trustees for Colorado Christian University, a four‐year private institution in Denver. He is currently a member of the Executive Network of Seattle and he Chairs a Pinnacle Forum group in Kirkland, Washington.

Married for more than 40 years he and wife Elizabeth have four adult children and three grandsons. Jim enjoys outdoor activities, including sailing, hiking, backpacking and cycling. He has climbed 48 of the 54 14,000 ft. peaks in Colorado and several of the highest peaks in Washington.
